Exhibition "The Sultan of Poetry - Fariza"



On November 21, 2024, a literary and musical evening was held in honor of the 85th anniversary of the birth of Fariza Ongarsynova, the People’s Writer of Kazakhstan, public and state figure, and laureate of the State Prize. During the event, the exhibition "The Queen of Poetry - Fariza" was organized.

 

The exhibition displayed over 100 items from the museum’s collection that belonged to Fariza Ongarsynova. These included photographs of the poet with her mother and siblings, her handwritten manuscripts, a collection of her translations, her pen and glasses, the dombyra and mandolin she used, her orders and medals, certificates, as well as items from her time as a deputy, such as a pen and wristwatch.

The exhibition was attended by the following guests: M. Qulkenov, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan; S. Abdrakhmanov, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philological Sciences; I. Eletkeev, public figure; A. Baktygereeva, poet, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, and laureate of the State Prize; S. Nurzhan, poet and laureate of the Abai State Prize; M. Ershu, poet and translator, recipient of the “Eren Enbegi Ushin” medal; S. Shapkenov, Akim of Atyrau Region; Fariza Ongarsynova’s sons, Almas and Aybar Ongarsynov; her sister A. Ongarsynova, and other guests.
