A traveling exhibition of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore in the ethno-village "World of nomads", organized within the framework of the "Caravan of Unity" project at the V World Nomad Games held in Astana



At the “Ethnoaul” as part of the V World Nomad Games, held in Astana from September 8 to 13, 2024, a traveling exhibition of archaeological and ethnographic collections from the Atyrau Regional History and Local Lore Museum was organized. The exhibition featured 233 exhibits. In particular, it showcased reconstructions of the “Golden Woman” and the “Woman in Silver Jewelry” found in the kurgan of Miyaly, along with their gear and adornments. Historical artifacts related to the early nomadic period were also displayed, including original items such as pitchers, daggers, arrowheads, bronze mirrors, jewelry, and relics found at the medieval settlement of Sarayshik. Additionally, ethnographic items from the 19th and 20th centuries were presented, such as a silver-plated and bone-inlaid dombra, a tea chest, wooden and leather utensils, and the interior furnishings of a yurt.

The exhibition was visited by residents from various regions of Kazakhstan, high school students, and university students from Astana. The event attracted particular interest from international guests from Norway, England, the Netherlands, African countries, New Zealand, Korea, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Russia. The total number of visitors exceeded 7,000 people.
